Steven Caldwell
Biography:
After graduating top of his film school class, Caldwell Entertainment Pty Ltd (CE) founder Steven Caldwell built his hands-on capacity in the camera and editorial departments of several Australian feature films, where he worked with Chris Nyst (Gettin' Square), Firass Dirani (Underbelly: The Golden Mile, House Husbands), Jay Laga'aia (Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones), Josh Lawson (Any Questions For Ben, The Campaign) and Margot Robbie (The Wolf of Wall Street, Suicide Squad, Neighbours). In 2010, Steven Caldwell produced and edited his debut feature film, Bad Behaviour, a serial killer thriller starring John Jarratt (Wolf Creek, Quentin Tarantino's Django Unchained), Roger Ward (Mad Max) and Jean Kittson (Good News Week). Bad Behaviour's Australian release was in 2013 and the film has won six festival awards, including an industry award for Steven's editing. For CE, Caldwell has produced and directed music videos across the R 'n' B, pop and metal genres, with each of his productions screening on the ABC's Rage, Channel 10 music programs and MTV. For underworld raconteur Mark 'Chopper' Read, Caldwell produced and directed Chopper: The Last Chapter, the live DVD of his final spoken word live show, and was editor and key contributor for the feature-length documentary Chopper and Hammer: Legends & Lunatics. Caldwell was also personally selected by Sony Pictures and Universal Studios to produce promotional material for their films "The Dark Tower" and "Sing" respectively, this content featured Idris Elba & Dami Im. Caldwell has also worked on TVCs and other content for clients including City Beach, Super Cheap Auto and Nestle. In the corporate world, Caldwell has produced and directed projects for clients including Queensland University of Technology, M-Tech Marine Technologies, Business Network International - Paradise Chapter, Bravehearts, the Queensland Government, Gold Coast City Council, Surfers Paradise Alliance, AC-TEC Services and Box Advertising.
