Biography:

Eleni (Lena) Divani (1955, Volos) is a Greek writer and former professor at the Law School of the University of Athens, where she teaches 20th century Greek and Balkan history of foreign policy at the undergraduate level and minority problems of the Balkans at the graduate level. She was a Visiting Research Fellow at Harvard University, at King's College London, twice at the League of Nations Archives at the United Nations Library in Geneva and a fellow at the Greek Institute in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She cooperated with the historical archive of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Greece in order to publish the diplomatic documents of Greece related to the national issues. She also collaborated with the National Book Center in preparing a bibliographic proposal on the problem of minorities and with the Foundation of Greek Culture on the subject of the Greek diaspora. She is a founding member of the National Commission for Human Rights. She was a member of the Board of Directors of ERT, vice-president of the National Book Center and the Organization for the Collective Management of Speech Projects.
