Biography:

Mena Sodje is a phenomenal Nigerian Actress known for her role as Queen Misan in the notable Africamagic telenovela Riona. Born Linda Omena Sodje on March 18th in Delta State, Nigeria, Mena is the first of four children. She studied Accounting & Finance at the Delta State University, Abraka, where she received a Bachelor's degree before delving professionally in to the movie industry. Discovering her love for the arts, Mena went on to gain training for acting in 2014 at Royal Arts Academy Nigeria. She started her acting career officially in 2015 with a minor role in the television series Jenifa's Diary season 1 (Ep13), where she played the character 'Oby'. Mena Sodje starred as Hope James; the lead in Royal Arts Academy Student Project, titled Spotlight, directed by Sunkanmi Adebayo in 2015. She played the role of Nurse Ada in season 2 of Losing Control series produced by Royal Arts Academy. In 2017, Mena grabbed the role of Pippa in the prominent Africamagic telenovela, Tinsel. With a desire to improve her skills, Mena attended trainings and workshops, one of which was at the Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF) 2016 where she qualified for a scholarship to study acting for film at the La'cenifabrique University Lyon, France. Mena went further to star in movies like ; "To Love Again" as Bimbo, in Closer Pictures production for Rok Studios. "Within reach" as the character Yvonne, a house5 production for Rok Studios. "Food Love or both" where she played the role Eno, a house5 production for Rok Studios. "To Alice" where she played Anita, a K-Minds production and a few others. Mena got her breakout role in 2020, playing the emotional and sensitive character Queen Misan in the Africamagic telenovela "Riona" . Mena Sodje is undoubtedly one of the fast rising actors in Nollywood.
