Topher Fredd
Biography:
Topher [Tuhf-er] Fredd grew up in a large but close-knit family that valued education, traveling and time spent with each other. His father was in the Army, so Topher moved and switched schools frequently. This instilled in him, early in life, the ability to adapt to new environments. He often performed throughout his youth in plays, in church productions and at family gatherings. One of his early childhood memories is when he told his mother he was nervous to sing a solo in front of the church and that he was "shy". She looked at him confused, as if he was speaking about someone else, and told him "YOU are not shy." With her having that much conviction, he believed what she said to be true and never looked back. It was truly a pivotal point in his life and allowed him to overcome the general fears of public speaking, stage fright and being camera shy. He attended Howard University where he rediscovered his love for performing, his allure to the limelight and his interest in providing that WoW Factor that people would not forget. When the pursuit of Acting presented itself, it made all the sense in the world and not only was the path well lit to pursue but he was also fully supported by friends and family alike who knew this was his destined direction. Now, with over 20+ TV/Film productions under his belt including Spring Breakthrough, The Other Foot and The Christians, in addition to theater experience, numerous commercials, and consistent training, Topher has demonstrated a deep commitment to the acting profession and a desire to take "the next big leap".
