The Substitute Love (1970)

Tang Xiaoshan, the daughter of a constable, dreams of becoming a female constable but reluctantly attends Baihua Academy in place of a friend. There, she clashes with her teacher, Ying Chengmo, and struggles to fit in with the talented students. However, when they are unexpectedly thrown together to uncover a major conspiracy, Tang grows into a strong and capable woman, forming a deep bond with Ying Chengmo along the way.
