Julie Berghoff
JULIE BERGHOFF (Production Designer) collaborated with Nick Stoller for the second time on "Neighbors", starring Zac Efron, Seth Rogan and Rose Byrne. She previously designed Stoller's film, "The Five Year Engagement." Berghoff's work will next be seen in the upcoming HBO project "Olive Kitteridge". Directed by with Lisa Cholodenko, "Olive Kitteridge" was produced by Playtone Productions and stars Frances McDormand, Richard Jenkins and Bill Murray. In 2013, Julie designed the one of the highest grossing supernatural films of all-time, "The Conjuring" directed by James Wan. "The Conjuring" was their fourth film collaboration together - Berghoff previously designed his Wan's seminal horror hit “Saw,” as well as the thrillers “Dead Silence” and “Death Sentence". Berghoff's other credits include Lisa Chodolenko's Oscar-nominated drama "The Kids are All Rights" and Bryce Dallas Howard’s directorial debut, the short film “Orchids”. Berghoff also designed Howard's most recent short film “When You Find Me.” Berghoff began her film career building models for special effects companies in Chicago. That soon let to art direction and designing the stop-motion animation Fox Television show "The PJ's," starring Eddie Murphy. Soon after, she transitioned into creating music videos and commercials, working jointly with acclaimed and prolific directors such as Herb Ritts, David LaChapelle, Jared Hess and John Hillcoat. Berghoff has since designed hundreds of national commercials for numerous Fortune 500 companies such McDonald's, Wal-Mart, Dell, All State, and Disney.
