Barbara-Lee Edwards is a Canadian television new anchor who grew up in White Rock, British Columbia. Her first job out of broadcasting school was at Channel 13 in Vancouver. From there, she moved to an affiliate station in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Two years later, she was recruited to the Canadian Television Network’s news station in Winnipeg, Manitoba. There, she met her now-husband Curtis Walz, who was working at the station as a news camera operator. They moved to Leucadia, California in 2001, and she began working for CBS News 8 in San Diego. On December 23, 2020, after working for KFMB-TV for nearly two decades, she suffered a near-fatal subarachnoid hemorrhage.
